Where: San Francisco Public Library
What: Selected interns will work with professional staff, adult mentors and volunteers to gain valuable career and educational skills alongside industry professionals and gain experience in media production (audio, video, music and art) and public library service to teens. Through this program, Interns will have the opportunity to gain essential work skills to support their career options.
Internship Period: The duration of the internship will be twelve (12) months with a possible opportunity for an offer of extension. Interns will be scheduled to work 10-19 hours per week, and not more than 1,040 hours within a continuous 12-month period. Selected interns must be able to commit to the consecutive twelve (12) months session. Work schedules will vary depending on the assignment; may include weekends and evenings. Anticipated start date of the internship will be in May 2017.
Required Skills of Note: 1. Possession of a High School Diploma, GED Certificate or High School Equivalency; AND 2. Applicants must be enrolled in a college, university or vocational program in Fall 2017.
