Map Librarian/Equipment Manager – San Francisco, CA

Where: San Francisco State University, CA

What: Maintain and facilitate access to Geography & Environment Department resources and Map Library (i.e. field equipment, maps, imagery, agency reports and documents). Access online/digital and paper maps for students and faculty. Assist in maintaining department website. Other job duty areas: computing and technology equipment assistance, Colloquia/speaker series, assist in organizing and maintaining department research labs, research/order new equipment, general Map Library management. The incumbent will report to the Chair of the Geography & Environment Department.

Required Skills of Note: Basic equipment maintenance skills, or inclination to learn on the job. Interest in taking an active role in department activities, programs and supporting the student population. Self-motivated and ability to maintain a flexible workflow.
