The Diablo Valley College Library Techology Program trains students to work as paraprofessionals in libraries and information centers. We offer an Associates of Science degree (AS), and a Certificate.
The program usually takes about two years to complete; students may begin the program at any point in the academic year. Most classes are offered on evenings and Saturdays to accommodate the schedules of working students. The courses offered include: Introduction to Library Technology; Access and Technical Services; Research Skills; Cataloging; Reference Services; Storytelling; School Libraries and Media Centers; Digital Assets.
